Hello my friends!
It a real pleasure for me to be asked back to my favourite UK show following on from a very enjoyable, successful and sunny 2019 Wings & Wheels.
I wish to thank the amazing team behind Wings & Wheels, this small army of people from Tom the Show Director, Greg and his team on the flight line to Charlie who manages the toilets and all our wonderful Sponsors and traders, these guys work with boundless energy in order to put on a show that is engaging, fun and appealing to a wide range of tastes and ages that all have one very exciting and all-consuming common interest!!
As an RC modeller, myself for over 30 years one thing has been certain, change has been constant but with modelling now more accessible than ever, the cost of ownership reducing all the time and with so much more variety and choice we are still noticing a swing in popularity compared to past years, why is this and what can we do as a community to positively influence this trend?
One thing’s for sure, like any industry, sport, hobby, pastime or EVENT if you don’t innovate, you’ll evaporate so for the next generation I feel it is our collective responsibility to create the desire and incentives to keep it relevant so our fascinating sport can live on for another 100+ years.
I am so excited to announce that for 2020 we have an incredible show line of new and returning superstar pilots all bringing along a fascinating array of interesting & historic aircraft, unusual aircraft, scale jets, sport jets, 3D, super scale,
I MUST NOT forget our amazing on site Bring & Buy too AND this year’s Night Flying will be something not to be missed!
This year I want to involve the audience much more with interactive opportunities like “have a go” at flying and be ready for your chance to grab a freebie from me, but you must be in the crowd line to stand a chance of winning.
I am always extremely happy to shake hands with my fellow hobbyists so please make sure you stop by the Commentary box and say hi and if you know of any special birthdays or celebrations during the weekend be sure to let myself or Andy “the sound man” know!
And, if you’re social media friendly why not get in touch with me via the usual social media channels:

I can’t wait to see you in June, until then, Happy landings!
