NEXT YEAR’S SHOW WILL BE ON JUNE 26 AND 27 2010
DOGS, DOGS, DOGS.... We have been receiving a significant number of phone calls regarding dogs and whether they are welcome at North Weald. The good news is that dogs are most welcome although, since there is a lot of model activity throughout the showground, they must be kept on a lead at all times. If you do bring a dog, please do not leave it in your car, even if the sky is overcast. It does not require direct sunlight to turn a car into a dog barbeque and leaving a window open a crack and water in a bowl is simply not sufficient.
SAT-NAV Update For those of you approaching the show using Sat-Nav systems, we have been advised that there is a more accurate post-code setting for the show. Please note the new post code given on every page here - CM16 6HR - for efficient approaches to North Weald airfield. On approaching North Weald, as soon as you see the yellow AA signs, please follow these which will direct you to the Wings & Wheels ENTRANCE.
Welcome to our World It is now 23 years since the first Wings and Wheels Model Spectacular made its debut at North Weald airfield near Epping in Essex.
Over the years, this exciting Model Show has developed into a truly Spectacular event and has featured some of the largest and most spectacular Radio Control Model Aircraft in the world as part of its flying programme.
As well as model aircraft, we also showcase model boats and cars, run one of the most successful Bring-and-Buy sales in the country and feature over 70 trading stands where you can find anything you require for your favourite hobby.
Another great attraction to the show is the largest Saturday Market in England with a massive selection of goods on offer.
The purpose of this Web Site is to keep you informed about developments and attractions at the 2008 Wings and Wheels Model Spectacular. We will be bringing you lists of participants including traders, site-maps for easy reference and up-to-the-minute news on what to expect this year. Watch this space for some really exciting stuff! We will be bringing you all sorts of information to help make the most of your weekend at Wings & Wheels. For example, we will be bringing you local accommodation lists as well as details on camping prices and facilities on the airfield.
If you are reading this in total bewilderment, then try clicking here to take you to the web site of the British Model Flying Association - the BMFA. This is the UK's official body for the organisation, regulation and development of aeromodelling. You will find useful links to all manner of other sites from here, no matter what your modelling interests. If your interest is in larger models then click here to access the website of the Large Model Association.
